TRAVEL REQUIRED - MULTI-STATE ROLE
This position requires frequent travel to project sites across multiple states. Applicants must be willing and able to travel as needed. About Us National Electrical Engineering Consultants (NEEC) provides full-service engineering and field support for utilities and renewable developers across the United States. Our core expertise includes Protection & Control (P&C) Substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar, and Renewable Energy Integration. NEEC's commissioning team ensures that every system operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the highest industry standards. About the Role The BESS Technician 1 assists in the assembly, wiring, and installation of energy storage equipment under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers. This role provides hands-on learning and exposure to field practices, focusing on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The BESS Technician 1 supports project delivery by following technical procedures, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring compliance with NEEC's safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Support system assembly, wiring, and equipment installation in accordance with plans and standards. Assist in testing procedures and data collection under supervision. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols. Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings. Report issues to the Senior Technician for resolution. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. 1-2 years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance. Basic understanding of electrical safety procedures. Willingness to learn and work in outdoor environments.
