  • Telephone reimbursement We are looking for the following full-time positions, based out of the Austin office.
Test and Balance Technician - I Working as a team, and with guidance from a certified TAB Engineer, Project Manager or Certified TAB Technician, you will gather data to test, document and analyze HVAC systems' performance using specialized testing equipment and techniques. We will provide all the training! This is an opportunity to grow, gain national certifications and potentially develop into the Project Manager role for the right person.
Responsibilities Include :
  • Support Lead role in performing test, adjust and balance work on both new construction and existing facilities.
  • Use testing instruments to take measurements, document results and identify deficiencies.
  • Adjust HVAC equipment as needed to provide a balanced system.
  • Comply with all job site safety requirements.
  • Maintain professional appearance and behavior on the job site.
  • Assist with equipment logistics throughout the job site. Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or higher Mathematical aptitude, simple algebraic equations,
  • Familiar with HVAC mechanical equipment or willingness to learn about HVAC mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical plans and use hand tools.
  • Ability to negotiate areas under construction.
  • The ideal candidate will have AABC or NEBB certifications, though not required for this entry role .
Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated with a quality focus and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's licenses.
  • Mathematical aptitude and ability to perform simple algebraic calculations.
  • Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with power tools
  • Proficient MS Office computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Comfortable in a construction site.
  • Some in state, overnight travel is required Evening work as needed.
  • You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check.
Physical Requirements:
This job is normally on a construction site. Thus, the following requirements are critical to the role:
  • Climbing permanent and temporary stairs
  • Climbing and carrying ladders
  • Holding overhead testing equipment and adjusting devices
  • Exposure to distracting or uncomfortable noise levels
  • Frequently lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and sitting, talking throughout the workday
  • Frequent use of hands to use tools, touch and adjust equipment.
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces
  • Ability to travel long distances by car as needed.
  • Availability for some evening, or overnight, in state travel as needed.
