Job Description —
Fall Protection Technician Location:
Chester, VA (Preferred) — Nationwide Travel Required Position Summary As a Fall Protection Technician, you will install, inspect, and support a variety of engineered fall protection systems including lifelines, guardrails, anchors, ladder safety systems, and other critical safety equipment. Projects are located throughout the United States and include commercial, industrial, and military facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in ironwork, steel erection, tower climbing, wind energy, rigging, rope access, or commercial/industrial construction. Compensation & Schedule $21-28/hr 50-55 hours/week Paid overtime Paid travel time Per diem per GSA rates Travel Requirements Highly travel-intensive: typical schedule is travel Monday, work on-site Tuesday-Thursday, return home Friday Some projects may require extended travel assignments What You'll Do Install fall protection systems including lifelines, guardrails, anchors, and related equipment Review project drawings, specifications, and scope documents Conduct equipment inspections and ensure OSHA compliance Assemble tools, materials, and equipment for deployment to project sites Work safely at elevations ranging from 40 to 100+ feet Demobilize job sites and return equipment to designated locations Required Qualifications OSHA-10 Certification Valid Real ID for air travel Ability and willingness to travel nationwide Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable working at significant heights daily High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications OSHA-30 Certification Military base access experience Competent Person training Security & Compliance Seven-year criminal background check Five-panel drug screening Ability to obtain military installation access
