The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, works well independently, and is capable of handling a wide variety of property maintenance and apartment turnover responsibilities. This position plays a key role in maintaining the safety, appearance, functionality, and overall quality of the property for our residents. Responsibilities Complete maintenance requests and repair orders in a timely and professional manner Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants, including painting, repairs, and upgrades Perform basic tile work, cabinet installation/repair, and drywall repairs when needed Troubleshoot and repair common apartment maintenance issues Assist with appliance installation and minor appliance repairs Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces Monitor and maintain maintenance materials, tools, and supply inventory Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, and property appearance Perform occasional sidewalk snow removal and winter maintenance Coordinate with and oversee outside vendors and contractors when necessary Respond to occasional after-hours emergency maintenance situations if required Qualifications Previous apartment maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and repair procedures Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Detail-oriented with pride in quality workmanship Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to handle physical workload including lifting, climbing stairs, bending, and working outdoors when necessary Valid driver's license preferred Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Takes ownership of their work Communicates clearly and professionally Is proactive rather than reactive Works with urgency while maintaining quality Wants long-term growth and stability within the company Compensation & Benefits Full-time position Compensation based on experience and skill level Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility Performance-based bonuses may be available Stable, year-round work environment
