Maintenance Assistant

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Maintenance Director with the overall maintenance of the facility. This position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with IDPH and Joint Commission.

Qualifications:

Minimum of one year experience in either a long-term care facility or healthcare setting is preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions:

Consistent and regular attendance Plans, schedules, and supervises Implements and maintains maintenance logs on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis Maintains overall appearance of facility physical plant. Assures compliance with applicable governmental regulations including Federal, State and Local authorities and/or regulatory agencies. Identifies and corrects safety hazards Maintains accurate records of various regulatory inspections. Supervises housekeeping staff.
