Maintenance Assistant

WACOSA is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our facility, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate will assist with repairs, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment. The Maintenance Assistant will also play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, fulfilling, and independent lives.

Pay:

$15.75 - $17.00 per hour

Maintenance Assistant:

Perform repair maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds. Maintain the grounds, landscaping and parking areas. Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedules and documents maintenance done. Responsible for floor care, including sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, auto scrubbing, carpet cleaning and refinishing. Snow removal Maintain safety and act as a role model at all times. Schedule repairs on WACOSA vehicles and perform safety checks, as needed. Assist with pickups and delivery needs in coordination with department needs Qualifications and Skills for a

Maintenance Assistant:

Must have HS diploma or equivalent. Experience with vehicle maintenance, production equipment, janitorial equipment, chemicals, and other miscellaneous equipment/ maintenance issues. Must be 20 years of age or older, possess a valid MN Drivers License and insurable driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with adult lifts and transfers. Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
