Job Description

The Plant Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing tasks to ensure that the buildings and grounds are well-maintained, clean, and visually appealing. This role involves planning and organizing maintenance operations in compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Additionally, the Specialist will establish and maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Establish and carryout a preventative maintenance program. Develop and recommend policies and procedures for the proper maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and equipment. Coordinate and participate in hiring, discipline, training and evaluation of Maintenance staff. Review all work orders on a daily basis and coordinate delegation of tasks, as needed. Maintain facility vehicles, phones, computers and safety systems or devices. Maintain neat, clean interiors and exterior of the building, ensuring proper removal of trash. Maintain property and equipment in a manner that protects the safety and well-being of the building, staff, residents, and visitors in inclement weather, including protecting from floods, ice, and snow (plow, shovel, de-ice, etc.) Repair equipment or requisition needed services or supplies to maintain facility, staying within the monthly/annual budget. Report concerns and notify ED of capital expenses, repairs, or services that may go over budget in advance. Inspect buildings and grounds weekly and repair items identified as need repair or replacement promptly Ensure safe and proper storage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools and equipment. Inspect each dwelling unit on a regular basis for maintenance and cleaning issues. Ensure rooms are turned around quickly for new residents and notify the Executive Director or Wellness Supervisor of any concerns regarding the safety or well-being of a resident. Maintain confidentiality of verbal or written information pertaining to co-workers, residents, families, or visitors. Maintain water temperature log, inspect fire extinguishers and assist with fire and disaster drills. Maintain and complete OSHA reports, equipment logs, material safety data. Other duties as assigned
Shifts:
Monday-Friday Must be available to work rotating weekends.
Qualifications:
Ability to climb ladders, walk on roofs, and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, crawling, or reaching overhead for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more, using proper body mechanics. Willingness to work in various outdoor conditions, including exposure to snow, rain, wind, heat, or cold. Proficient in using a variety of power-operated hand tools including drills, saws, and rotating equipment. Experienced with manual tools such as shovel, pliers, hammers, and paint brushes. Skilled in operating motorized equipment and mowers, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols.
