Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and equipment. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment, supporting the overall success of our operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the continuous improvement of our facilities. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs promptly to minimize downtime. Repair or replace appliances, motors, pumps, belts, valves, and other mechanical components with precision and attention to detail. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex systems effectively. Perform HVAC/R maintenance tasks including air conditioning repairs, refrigerant recharges, and system calibrations to maintain optimal climate control. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during construction or major repair projects to ensure safety standards and quality are met. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and system updates for compliance and future reference. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance mechanic in industrial or commercial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, equipment repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and general maintenance. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals confidently for troubleshooting complex systems. Familiarity with construction processes and safety protocols related to building maintenance projects. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide junior team members or coordinate with external contractors when necessary. Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration is highly desirable. Previous experience working with electrical systems and understanding of schematics enhances your effectiveness in this role.
