Determines workday operational activities and production, implements proper policies and procedures. Familiar with production processes. Relies on skills, knowledge, and experience to accomplish all assigned tasks. Reviews all activities looking to eliminate waste and continuously improve processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all equipment in a steel mill environment. Experience and Capable of working with heavy industry equipment and overhead cranes. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and perform work from schematics, technical specifications, drawings, and sketches. Experience with PLC systems and variable frequency drives (VFD) a plus. Shift work, weekends, callouts and overtime a must. Perform all other duties as directed by supervisor or management representative within safety guidelines. Performs work in accordance with the defined Quality system and share responsibility for Quality. The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed. Minimum Education and/orExperience Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Completion of maintenance mechanical course, Associate Degree, or equivalent experience is required. At least 3- 5 years of hands-on commercial or industrial mechanical experience.Skills and Abilities:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.Work Environment:
