Job Description

A highly automated food manufacturing facility is seeking a Maintenance Planner to lead maintenance scheduling, parts coordination, and preventive maintenance planning in a modern production environment. This is a key role supporting plant reliability, maintenance efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across a fast-paced operation with advanced automation technology. This facility recently completed a major expansion and features advanced PLCs, VFDs, robotics, and modern manufacturing systems. Responsibilities Coordinate maintenance work order backlog and develop execution schedules that minimize downtime Create daily and weekly maintenance schedules for technicians and contractors Generate purchase orders for parts and supplies while managing purchasing coordination Maintain maintenance inventory accuracy and oversee parts room operations Develop and improve Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs Maintain equipment manuals, prints, schematics, and maintenance system data Lead maintenance planning and scheduling meetings Assign and distribute work orders through the PM system Support cost estimation, labor planning, and maintenance backlog calculations Partner with maintenance leadership, procurement, operations, and contractors to ensure maintenance priorities are met Serve as the maintenance system Subject Matter Expert (SME) Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on proactive maintenance strategies Qualifications Two-year technical degree or higher preferred 7+ years of maintenance supervision and/or maintenance planning experience Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Experience in manufacturing or highly automated production environments Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Experience with CMMS systems, inventory management, and maintenance scheduling What's Offered Competitive compensation Full benefits package Modern, highly automated facility Strong promote-from-within culture Team-oriented environment Long-term growth opportunity within a growing organization If you have experience leading maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment and enjoy building efficient systems that keep operations running at peak performance, this could be an excellent opportunity to explore.
