Job Description
The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Summary The Maintenance Planner assists in administering and directing the maintenance planning and scheduling functions in a safe, cost effective, and timely manner. This role is accountable for the effective utilization and administration of contracts and contractors.
Key Responsibilities Ensures the accurate and timely tracking of department costs consistent with Divisional and Corporate standards. Ensures the development, maintenance and recording of a parts list and information library for all assigned equipment. Maintains computerized maintenance management system and database for record keeping, preventive / predictive and reporting purposes. Ensures crew scheduling is completed in a timely manner, consistent with operating requirements and complies with company and legal requirements. Ensures maintenance requests are tracked and reviewed, on a weekly basis, including Food Safety, Employee Safety and Repair activity. Ensures that the interface with other support groups is conducted in a participative management style; ensures interface with contractors, vendors and customers is handled in a professional manner. Supports capital project planning and plant downtime tracking/reporting requirements. Ensures that additional accountabilities, as may be required by management, be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and Division standards. Typical Education Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university Relevant Experience 5+ years related experience and/or training
