Full-Time About Us We are a high-growth contract manufacturer of powder and liquid consumer packaged goods (CPG), producing and shipping over 60,000+ units per week across e-commerce, retail, and distribution channels.
Our operation includes:
Powder blending (supersacks, ribbon/paddle mixers) Multi-line filling (auger fillers, pouching systems) Conveyor-based packout feeding into case packing and palletizing High-volume fulfillment (Amazon
FTL, LTL, B2B
) We are transitioning into a new facility and need to build a scalable, structured maintenance and reliability system to support continued growth. Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Reliability Manager to take ownership of equipment uptime, preventative maintenance, and process consistency across our production and facility. This role is responsible for moving our operation from: Reactive "fix it fast" → Structured, reliable, and repeatable systems You will work directly with production, leadership, and vendors to ensure our equipment is: Running consistently Set up correctly Maintained proactively Installed and integrated properly Key Responsibilities Maintenance System & Equipment Reliability Build and implement a preventative maintenance (PM) program across: Mixers (ribbon/paddle) Auger fillers Conveyors and packout lines Dust collection systems Air compressors and utilities Create a complete equipment asset register Implement a work order tracking system (CMMS or structured logs) Establish maintenance SOPs and inspection checklists Develop and manage critical spare parts inventory
Track:
Equipment downtime Root cause failures Repeat issues
Goal:
Reduce unplanned downtime and eliminate repeat failures Production Support & Line Performance Act as the primary escalation point for production equipment issues Support 2-4 production lines running: Powder filling (auger-based systems) Conveyor-fed packout and case sealing
Improve:
Line startup reliability Changeover efficiency Product flow consistency (powder handling, feeding, discharge) Ensure machines are: Properly set up for each SKU Running at stable and repeatable settings
Goal:
Increase uptime, reduce variability, and stabilize production Process Ownership & Standardization Define and document: Equipment setup procedures by SKU Operating parameters (speeds, auger settings, feed rates) Cleaning and maintenance procedures Reduce reliance on: Tribal knowledge Manual adjustments Inconsistent setups Work with production to ensure adherence to standards
Goal:
Create repeatable, scalable processes Equipment Installation & Facility Integration Lead installation and startup of: New filling lines Conveyors and packout systems Blending and material handling equipment Ensure proper integration of: Air systems Electrical Dust collection Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure: Equipment performs to spec Layout supports flow and efficiency
Goal:
Install systems correctly the first time and avoid future issues Team Leadership & Development Manage and develop 1-2 maintenance technicians Train team to: Fix issues properly (not temporary patches) Execute preventative maintenance consistently Maintain organized workspaces (5S) Establish accountability for: Work quality Response time Completion of PM tasks Facility & Utility Management Oversee facility systems: Compressed air Dust collection (critical in powder environment) HVAC and temperature control Electrical infrastructure Manage vendors for: Electrical Mechanical Fabrication Ensure compliance with: Safety standards GMP expectations QualificationsRequired 5-10+ years in manufacturing maintenance or reliability Experience in: Packaging lines, conveyors, or process equipment Troubleshooting mechanical systems in production environments Proven ability to build or improve preventative maintenance systems Strong hands-on capability (mechanical + basic electrical) Experience leading or coordinating small teams Preferred Experience in: Powder handling or bulk material systems Auger filling or pouch packaging CPG, food, or cosmetic manufacturing CMMS implementation experience Lean / TPM / continuous improvement background Fabrication or welding experience Performance Expectations (Critical) Implement full equipment asset registry within 30 days Launch active preventative maintenance program within 60 days Reduce unplanned downtime by 30-50% within 6 months Identify and permanently resolve top equipment failure points Improve production line stability and consistency How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief description of: A maintenance or reliability system you have built or improved A specific example of how you reduced equipment downtime or improved equipment performance
