Maintenance Tech I - Carpenter Milton, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22561573 Summary Milton, PA Hybrid $18.00 - $21.00 per Hour 2 Years Experience Secondary education, no high school diploma (grades 9-12) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Maintenance Technician - Level 1 with carpentry experience. Complete daily maintenance requests including simple and moderate repairs such as: Light plumbing (leaks, clogs, faucet swaps, toilet repairs) Basic electrical (switches, outlets, light fixtures, smoke detectors) Carpentry patchwork (drywall repairs, trim replacement, door adjustments) Locks and hardware adjustments Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs Diagnose basic issues and escalate advanced mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical matters to the appropriate lead technician. Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards Perform make-ready tasks when units become vacant, including: Light repairs Touch-up painting Replacing fixtures, bulbs, and damaged hardware Cleaning and preparing the unit for inspection Installing furnishings as required (curtains, blinds, shelving, small appliances, etc.). Support inspection staff by ensuring work is completed before scheduled move-ins. Identify and report major issues that require higher-level technician or construction team involvement. Perform make-ready tasks when units become vacant, including: Light repairs Touch-up painting Replacing fixtures, bulbs, and damaged hardware Cleaning and preparing the unit for inspection Installing furnishings as required (curtains, blinds, shelving, small appliances, etc.). Interact with tenants professionally while performing maintenance in occupied units. Provide clear explanations of work being performed and expected timelines. Maintain a courteous, respectful demeanor and help foster positive tenant relationships. Communicate any tenant concerns or unsafe conditions to the Property Manager.
