Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description We have multiple Maintenance Technician positions available on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Candidates must be open to both shifts as they may be required to switch after a few months due to seniority. Applicants should have a journeyman card or at least 8 years of hands-on maintenance machine repair experience in a manufacturing environment. This role requires joining the union after a 60-day probationary period. Responsibilities Perform pipefitting, welding, and small fabrication tasks. Align belts and sheaves. Repair highly automated industrial manufacturing equipment. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical components of manufacturing machinery. Repair hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, pumps, sensors, and more. Work on assembly, robotic equipment, and conveyor systems. Oversee and manage preventive maintenance schedules. Diagnose machines that are not running properly or producing defective parts. Install new machines or relocate them within the plant. Troubleshoot electro-mechanical system failures across production lines. Repair and replace faulty mechanical and electrical components. Service and fix hydraulic valves, pumps, pneumatic cylinders, and air compressors. Complete scheduled inspections, lubrication routines, and adjustments using CMMS software. Connect laptops to PLC processors to read ladder logic and monitor system faults. Perform basic welding, grinding, and machining to repair structural components. Essential Skills Journeyman card or 8 years of machine repair experience in a manufacturing environment. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Experience with mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to wear a respirator mask, requiring a clean-shaven face for proper fitting. Completion of an apprenticeship program with certification or a Journeyman Machine Repair Card. Why Work Here? CONTRIBUTION FOR EMPLOYEES HIRED ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 1999
In addition to your contribution to the 401K plan, employees hired on or after January 1, 1999, will accumulate retirement savings via the 401(k). Effective January 1, 2023, the Pension Plan will contribute 3% of eligible earnings each month to ERIC. (Employer Retirement Income Contribution) This contribution is made to the company's 401(k) plan, regardless if the employee participates in the voluntary portion of the plan.
