Job Description

Overview:
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the effective operation, repair and changeover of production equipment. You will be performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment in addition to championing our preventative and predictive maintenance program to support our sites' business goals and objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. Views their role in Maintenance as a Service Provider. Repairs all mechanical components of all equipment as required. Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues. Operates all machines so that maintenance, changeovers, and adjustments can be tested when complete. Performs preventive maintenance and lubrication on all equipment. Performs Welding and Fabrication Repairs. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Performs preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports findings promptly. Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training. Monitors Air Compressor and Boiler Performance. Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience with troubleshooting electrical controls i.e VFD, Soft Starter and Motor Starter. Standard mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components. Experience rebuilding pumps, gearbox, fans Standard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Experience in TIG and Stick Welding. Good communication and analytical skills. Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc. Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Three years of industrial experience or equivalent required. Technical or vocational school training relating to electrical/mechanics is preferred. Compensation is dependent upon experience and education. Equal Opportunity Employer Protein for Pets
