ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary To maintain facility and equipment to accommodate efficient and safe operations within injection molding, recycling, warehousing departments and all associated process equipment including: welder, vacuum pumps, feed lines, chilled water systems, etc. Act as front-line leader for technical knowledge on highly complex equipment problems. Key Duties & Responsibilities Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements of all equipment. Troubleshoot any issues of mechanical devises, correct issues as necessary to maintain productivity/quality standards. Control downtime by communicating with all departments. Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories, conserve resources when able. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, and comply with company safety policies and procedures. Support with various facility maintenance as assigned. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement. Other responsibilities as assigned by the maintenance manager.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION
Education/Certification Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Education/Certification Desired High School Diploma or Equivalent
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required At least 5+ years relevant experience Physical Requirements Primarily works in a production and/or warehousing setting. Walking, standing, bending for duration of shift. Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Desired Experience within the injection molding and recycling industries (3+ years). Basic math, reading, and communication skills. Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read, comprehend, and complete blueprints, electrical schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, work orders, and parts requests. Knowledge of measuring equipment including standard and metric tape measure, micrometer, caliper, Fluke, scales, and VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter). Advance knowledge of machine operations and mechanical functions. Ability to disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot plant machinery. Ability to overhaul and rebuild plant machinery. Ability to make simple parts or equipment and tools. Ability to operate forklifts, sizzorlifts, boomlifts, cranes, and various other operational equipment as needed. Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers. Ability to work additional shifts as needed. Work Shift Information Will consist of 3 shifts 1st, 2nd,and 3rd. The schedule starts on Monday morning 1st shift 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM this shift continues through Friday. The 2nd shift also starts on Monday 3:00 PM
  • 11:30 PM this shift continues through Friday as well. The 3rd shift starts Monday night 11:00 PM
  • 7:30 AM Tuesday morning and continues through Saturday morning.
We will then Cycle an on call Schedule for the 48 hours of time Saturday morning through Monday morning at 7:00 AM. Cabka North America, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
