Job Title:
Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate:
$21/hr.
Shift:

Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL During an assigned shift, the technician performs tasks associated with installing, adjusting, and maintaining mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment to keep operations running in a safe, efficient manner. The technician performs work in a safe, responsible manner by following all safety rules and procedures, troubleshooting mechanical electrical, and computer-related issues, and taking appropriate steps to resolve them
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Equipment Restoration & Maintenance Response:
Responds in a timely manner to breakdown and trouble calls from the plant
Troubleshooting:
Analyzes equipment to determine root cause of outages in production, reliability, safety or quality.
Resolution:
Implements solutions to restore proper operation of equipment.
Analysis:
Analyzes equipment to identify potential improvements.
Preventive Maintenance:
Performs assigned preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and reports status of plant PM software.
Installation and Fabrication Equipment Setup:
Performs mechanical and electrical work to install new equipment and parts in the plant.
Electrical Scope:
Includes power and control wiring, installation of panels/enclosures, installing conduit, wire way, or cable tray, or configuring instrumentation.
Fabrication:
Performs basic mechanical and electrical fabrication work in the shop.
Technical Support:
Assists in defining preventative maintenance tasks
Operational Requirements Documentation:
Reads and understands drawings, schematics, manuals, and procedures. Provides written documentation via a PM program or work order system.
Motorized Equipment:
Operates motorized equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, and carts.
Inventory:
Maintain inventory of assigned tools and supplies in good working condition.
Control Systems:
Familiarity with PLC process controls (Allen-Bradley or similar) is preferred for troubleshooting purposes.
Reliability:
Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. Experience and Qualifications Experience with the following is a plus:
Processing:
Liquid processing tanks, mixers, pumps and dry material silos/conveyors.
Packaging:
Fillers, cappers, sealers, case packers and palletizers.
Controls & Utilities:
VFDs, sensors, (pressure/temp). HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air systems.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical:
Regularly required to handle tools;frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. Occasionally required to reach, climb, balance, or crawl.
Lifting:
Up to 50 lbs. Without assistance.
Safety:
Specific vision abilities required;may be required to pass an OSHA respirator physical.
Environment:
Regularly works near moving mechanical parts;occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, wet conditions, or chemicals.
