Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production and support facilities through preventative and corrective maintenance activities. This role performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on facility equipment and systems while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational requirements. The position requires coordination with operations personnel, contractors, and service providers to support daily maintenance schedules and minimize downtime. Candidates should possess strong mechanical aptitude, basic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and support facility equipment. Support the ongoing operation and reliability of facility systems and equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine repairs. Execute maintenance work safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and industry standards. Review daily work schedules and communicate maintenance status updates to appropriate personnel. Coordinate with operations teams to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions. Communicate with contractors and service providers to confirm availability and support scheduled work activities. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation. Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns or operational risks. Assist with equipment startup, shutdown, and operational readiness activities. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures during all maintenance activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance processes. Participate in safety meetings, training, and operational planning discussions. Technical training or trade school certification preferred. Typically 3-5 years of maintenance or facility operations experience. Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance in industrial, oil & gas, manufacturing, or related environments preferred. General working knowledge of maintenance systems, terminology, and standard operating procedures. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make routine maintenance decisions. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience. Ability to work independently with moderate supervision. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily maintenance schedules effectively. Commitment to workplace safety and operational reliability. Basic computer and documentation skills preferred.
