Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Hours:

10:00am-7:00pm, Monday-Friday (Rotating on-call schedule every 6 weeks)

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks including preventative maintenance on all MEP equipment and other maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, painting, sheetrock repair, minor carpentry work, moving items as requested and assembling furniture and equipment.

Requirements:

o Experience in HVAC preventative maintenance such as changing filters, cleaning condenser coils, checking fan belts, etc o Journeyman License preferred o Carpentry and painting skills o Excellent customer service skills o Maintains current knowledge of all applicable Facilities Department standards and safety measures. Reads, understands, and explains manufactures' warnings, labels, instructions, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). o Operates portable power tools (e.g., drills, saws, etc.), table saws, grinders, and non-powered hand tools o Experience performing drywall repairs o Plumbing (clear drain clogs, repair faucets and shower heads, pull & set toilets, etc) o Able to service and repair items such as door hardware or overhead doors o Ability to take after hours and weekend calls as needed (rotation basis) o Experience working with accepting on updating work orders on a mobile app o Able to perform other maintenance duties as required. o Able to work evening or weekend hours. o Good using all hand tools o Perform physical tasks such as moving furniture or setting up for events o Ability to work overtime if requested o Reliable transportation o Able to pass a background check and drug test

Other Skills and Abilities:

Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have the ability to understand and operate a work order system. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.

Experience:

Facilities maintenance: 3 years (Preferred) Work order system - 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Must Have a Valid Driver's License)
