Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician - 36 - Direct Placement Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and production equipment, including wrappers, slicers, shredders, die cutters, spirals, and belts. Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of production lines. Troubleshoot and repair 480V electrical systems, identifying faults and implementing effective solutions. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on industrial equipment, including moving and rotating components. Read and interpret blueprints to understand machine layouts, wiring, and component locations. Use blueprints to identify components on machines and verify correct installation and configuration. Work with limit switches, including normally open, normally open held closed, normally closed, and normally closed held open configurations. Utilize Allen-Bradley PLCs and basic PLC troubleshooting techniques to support machine reliability. Collaborate with operations and production teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and communicate equipment status. Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical and mechanical equipment in a food manufacturing environment. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing 480V electrical systems. At least 2 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment. At least 2 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and using them to identify machine components. At least 2 years of experience working on industrial equipment such as conveyors, belts, wrappers, slicers, shredders, and die cutters. At least 2 years of experience working with limit switches, including understanding of normally open, normally open held closed, normally closed, and normally closed held open configurations. Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley equipment and PLC troubleshooting. Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently. Ability to work safely with industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with HMI or laptop hookup troubleshooting for industrial equipment. Previous experience working in a food and beverage manufacturing plant. Additional schooling, technical training, or certifications related to industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
