We are seeking a skilled Maintenance professional with experience in facilities maintenance as well as environmental health and safety activities to join our team. This position will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment across various applications, sometimes through the management of contractors. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, cleanliness, and safety of the facility. This role performs a wide range of tasks, including facility repairs, equipment maintenance, and industrial cleaning. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine repairs to facility infrastructure, including walls, doors, fixtures, and plumbing. Monitor and maintain lighting, HVAC systems, and general utilities. Identify, troubleshoot, and report building maintenance issues in a timely manner. Conduct basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment and tools. Assist with scheduled maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures. Communicate with technicians or vendors for specialized repairs when needed. Perform deep cleaning of industrial areas using pressure washers and other cleaning tools. Maintain exterior and interior cleanliness of the facility, including restrooms, walkways, and workstations. Remove oil, grease, and debris from machinery and floors to uphold safety standards. Adhere to all safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Report safety hazards or incidents immediately. Support the company's commitment to OSHA and environmental compliance standards. Assist in the completion of weekly, monthly, and other periodic inspections related to environmental and safety regulations. Monitor and restock cleaning and maintenance supplies. Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition. Organize and clean storage areas for tools and materials. Coordinate tasks with other maintenance personnel and production staff. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments. Support facility projects such as equipment moves, renovations, and new installations. Maintain daily logs of completed maintenance tasks. Assist in recordkeeping for preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure documentation is accurate and submitted per company procedures.Qualifications & Skills:
1-2 years of experience in facilities or equipment maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience using pressure washers, hand tools, and basic power tools. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and follow work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Able to work in outdoor conditions, high heat, and exposure to industrial cleaning chemicals.Working Conditions:
