Job Description

Department :
Operations Reports to : Maintenance Manager Position Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing machinery, processing equipment, the mobile fleet, and the manufacturing plant. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems, including conveyors, feeders, mills, and kilns. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing issues to ensure the smooth operation of the plant. Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs, inspections, and repairs. Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment. Skills Strong mechanical and technical skills, including knowledge of electrical, automation, and hydraulics, are preferred but not required Experience with conveyors, feeders, mills, and kilns. Skilled in metal fabrication, cutting, and welding. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of manufacturing equipment. Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to work in an environment with dust and noise, and around equipment with higher than ambient temperatures. Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods. Benefits Health Insurance
