May 2026 Position Statement The position holder is responsible for the safe operations, reliability & uptime of all equipment and facilities. Primary responsibilities include general maintenance, preventative maintenance, capital project installations, repairs, and fabrication. Other responsibilities will include Facility Lead/Production/Shipping/Receiving as needed. Key Relationships Internal Reports to Operations Manager and will take direction from all facility leadership personnel. Primary internal customer is the Production Department personnel. Works closely with Engineering on equipment-related process issues. Works closely with Engineering to facilitate the smooth launch of new products. Works closely with Engineering to implement improvement projects Works closely with Safety / Environmental Consultants External Interacts with vendors of building & grounds, equipment and/or services when required. Responsibility/Accountability (Prioritized) Performance Measures 1. Ensure the facility & equipment is safe for all visitors & personnel. Zero accidents 2. Provide immediate , hands-on troubleshooting and repair of faulty equipment. Will be required to assist other shifts when needed. Minimize equipment downtime. Minimal repeat issues Minimal unexpected repairs 3. Provide predictive / preventative maintenance tasks according to a prescribed schedule. Work orders completed as required. Maintain critical spare inventory, order supplies, tools, equipment and services needed to keep the facility and all manufacturing equipment maintained. Same as above Stay within budget 5. Work on improvement projects as assigned. Work tasks completed as requested on time & on budget 6. Communicate effectively with other employees to solve problems and participate in continuous improvements. Lack of negative feedback, organized. It is expected that the position holder will work within the framework of our quality system and quality policy. General Requirements Knowledge of AC and DC motors and drives. Able to troubleshoot systems and repair. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting, repair. Knowledge of pneumatic systems and troubleshooting, repair. Knowledge of elastomer extrusion systems and basic theory of operation a plus. Knowledge of programmable logic controller, (PLC) Knowledge of electronics, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Knowledge of Fabrication and welding process. Knowledge of use scissors Lifter and forklift Ability to execute all maintenance tasks safely. Possess light fabrication skills. Ability to read and understand schematics. Ability to Push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40 lbs. Ability to stand or walk on concrete most of a work day. Ability to squat or kneel for extended lengths of time. Ability to respond quickly to sounds. Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or confined spaces. Ability to identify, see, & respond to unsafe conditions. Ability to safely climb stairs and/or ladders. Ability to work in extreme weather. Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of a work day. Skills/Talents Required Strong problem-solving ability. Proactive, assertive, sense of urgency, decisive, results- oriented. Ability to work autonomously. Must be flexible as assigned tasks and hours may vary widely. Good attitude and be ready to learn. Make decisions with no support. Able to communicate effectively. Education/Professional Requirements High school diploma or GED Basic computer skills - email, Microsoft office. Trained and/or certified in basic maintenance skills. Willingness to get additional training as required.
