PAY RATE
$28-$32/hr We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with various departments, including maintenance, tool room, quality control, and production teams, to ensure the efficient operation of equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent electrical and mechanical aptitude, as well as outstanding troubleshooting and analytical skills. Responsibilities Work autonomously to repair highly complex electrical and mechanical equipment. Collaborate with Supervisors and Leads to get faulted equipment back online, utilizing available resources and vendor assistance. Connect and establish communication with PLC processors to diagnose and repair machine problems. Perform operations necessary to repair machinery using skills such as arc or gas welding, soldering, drilling, and tapping. Replace bearings, shafts, gears, pins, and keys, and run all equipment in the machine shop. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate test equipment. Weld and build steel tables, brackets, extensions, and safety gates for machinery. Determine if repairs can be made or if service technicians are needed. Analyze hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and physically trace circuits if schematics are unavailable. Plan, layout, and install circuits and distribution equipment according to codes. Fabricate, install, and repair electrical systems based on drawings and schematics. Locate and fix malfunction causes; dismantle and reassemble machines as needed. Repair, maintain, and assemble safety guards, motors, relays, starters, and other attachments. Move heavy equipment and machinery within the plant area. Ensure high safety standards and report any discrepancies immediately. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Take initiative to respond to discrepancies and contact vendors for technical assistance. Rebuild hydraulic valves, cylinders, and pumps. Install plumbing and electrical services for new or relocated equipment. Essential Skills Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Proficient in troubleshooting, maintenance, and preventive maintenance. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC troubleshooting. Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical blueprints. High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform safely at all times and complete tasks independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of all types of welding, brazing, and soldering. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
