Immediately SUMMARY:
Support all safety, and production / facility equipment during normal operations, performs preventative maintenance on all equipment, and maintains facility in top condition. Also installs electrical devices, wiring, and maintains safe operating conditions of all electrical systems and related equipment. DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs minor and routine inspections and performs maintenance on building and installs systems including but not limited to production machinery, electrical wiring, painting, roofs, drains, shop, grounds and other related maintenance activities. Inspects equipment, building and grounds for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions. Assists with installation and modification of building and equipment systems. Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to machine maintenance and repair. Maintains tools, equipment, shop and maintains a clean and safe work area in best possible condition for maximum safety and production. Installs, maintains and operates electrical systems, equipment, wiring, fixtures including but not limited to receptacles, switches, circuit breakers, fuse boxes, transformers, switch boards, motors and electric panel boards. Communicate needs for major repairs and requisitions supplies when necessary to complete assignments. Makes recommendations to update/upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities. Prepares required reports, correspondence and ensures all documentation is completed in a timely manner. Performs other maintenance related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Two to Three years related experience or equivalent Knowledge electrical, plumbing, carpentry and industrial maintenance Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions Ability to perform the physical labor necessary to complete the assignment Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels Ability to work and organize projects Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Commitment to excellence, high standards and the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Frequently/Continually required to stand Frequently/Continually required to walk Occasionally required to sit Frequently required to climb, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl Frequently/Continually required to talk or hear Occasionally/Frequently required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information and/or use a keyboard Frequently required to lift/push/carry items anywhere from less than 25 pounds up to 50 pounds (Any more than 50 pounds requires team lift) Occasionally/Frequently exposure to wet and/or humid conditions Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts Occasionally work in high, precarious places Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions Frequently exposed to extreme heat or cold (Depending upon time of year) Frequently/Continually exposed to loud noise Applicants must be self-motivated, have reliable transportation, good attendance, and willing to work overtime as needed. Safety training will be provided and adherence to safety procedures is required. Some material handling and forklift driving may be required. Applicants must be able to pass a work history reference check, drug test, and pre-employment physical. Previous experience in a similar manufacturing plant is preferred but not required.
