Summary:
Ensures production machinery operates efficiently and safety by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Minimizes downtime by repairing broken equipment, replacing parts, and calibrating machines to specifications.
Essential Functions:
Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery and facility systems (e.g., lubricating, cleaning, part replacement) to prevent failures. Diagnose and fix machinery breakdowns promptly to reduce production downtime, often involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Install, test, and calibrate new or existing machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, part usage, and machine adjustments Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information trends Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC troubleshooting Ability to analyze machinery issues and perform root cause analysis Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Familiarity with safety standards and regulations/lock-out tag-out Good verbal and written skills to work with production teams and maintenance logs
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associates degree in mechanical engineering or similar field or related certifications 5+ years' experience working as a maintenance technician
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8-10 hours daily, overtime/weekend support as needed. Position requires work on the shop floor as well as desk/meetings.
