Maintenance Technician

Title:

Maintenance Technician Type (Contract): 9 months

Location:

Boston, MA (North Reading) (3pm -11:30pm EST) Pay range: $20 - $26/hr

DAY TO DAY

Perform repairs and structural improvements to the building infrastructure and racking systems. Execute preventative maintenance routines and maintain detailed documentation for all equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and pneumatic systems. Service and support critical facility systems including HVAC and fire protection. Manage department inventory, including the tracking and organized storage of spare parts. Perform metal and wood fabrication tasks, including specialized welding projects.

MUST HAVES

High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in maintaining and repairing automated conveyor systems and controls. Solid understanding of electrical and electronic principles. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics. Background in HVAC maintenance and the repair of material handling equipment. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate small spaces, heights, or uneven surfaces.

PLUSSES:

Degree from a trade school or college with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical fields. 4+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience in a technical trade. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with vendors and management.
