Job Summary FMD Hospitality is seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to support our hotel operations in Selma, AL. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the property. This role requires availability for weekends and on-call shifts, as needed, to ensure prompt response to maintenance issues and emergencies. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas Complete work orders in a timely manner (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies, including after-hours and on-call coverage Troubleshoot and repair appliances, fixtures, and hotel systems Assist with pool maintenance and HVAC systems (if applicable) Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies Work closely with housekeeping and front desk to maintain room readiness Maintain organized maintenance logs and records Qualifications Previous maintenance experience required (hotel experience preferred) Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and rotating on-call shifts Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work Schedule Full-time position Weekend availability required On-call rotation required for emergency maintenance needs Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Paid time off (full-time employees) Hotel employee discounts worldwide Opportunities for advancement within FMD Hospitality Apply Today Join a team that values reliability, accountability, and quality.
