Job Description

Responsibilities Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping a community running smoothly? As a Maintenance Technician II at our 175-unit community in Syracuse, NY, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You'll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety. In this position, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional service to our residents. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met. Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames. Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs. Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds. Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance. Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages. Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor. Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION
$22.00
  • $25.
00 / hour Annual Performance Bonus This position is Non-Exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay Qualifications 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Affordable housing experience is a plus. Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed. Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service. Willingness to embrace feedback and continuously improve. Strong belief in the value of teamwork and collaboration. Reliable and committed to doing the right thing at all times. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with the Company's standards. Demonstrates accountability and reliability by taking full ownership of projects and outcomes, prioritizing precision and attention to detail, and approaching challenges with grit, resilience, and proactive problem
