Job Description
Maintenance Technician
- Medina 3.
Level II Technician:
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. installs new or repaired parts. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair. Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Maintains and repairs building's plumbing systems. Creates project parts lists. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts; demonstrates proficiency and quality of work. Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures; demonstrates proficiency and quality of work. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables; demonstrates proficiency and quality of work. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Safety Manager.Level III Technician:
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots. Reviews manufacturers' service manuals, own establishment's usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance. Studies production and operation schedules and confers with other staff and with maintenance supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operation of establishment. Estimates costs of personnel, parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance. Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance. Communicate with third party contractors on repairs or equipment. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment (MIG/TIG/Stick) to cut or join metal parts; demonstrates high proficiency and excellent quality of work. Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures; demonstrates expert level of the tools and equipment (saws, drills, air tools, etc.). Highly proficient in use and excellent quality of work. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables; demonstrates expert level of tools and equipment (meters, PLC, motors, 24V, 120-480V, etc.). Highly proficient and excellent quality of work. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Safety Manager.Safety Compliance:
Maintain a safe working environment; Adhere to all OSHA and Company safety standards.Environmental Compliance:
Assist with facility Operation Clean Sweep compliance. Assist with the repurpose and recycling of resources.Communication:
Keep management abreast of significant issues or developments that impact operations, quality, safety, health, or environmental. Enters details completion records in MPulse and associated electronic storage. Generate and identify Corrective Action reports and Opportunities for Improvement reports. Follow all ISO requirements; ensure ISO documentation is current and adhered to. Receives written and verbal instructions from Manager. Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications 1.Education:
a. High School Diploma- preferred. b. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility
- preferred. c. Valid driver's license with clean MVR
- required. d. Level III Technician
- certification from an accredited institution for welding technology AWS certification/3G welding certification/6G welding certification, carpentry, electrical, and computer (PLC) engineering
- preferred.
