Maitre D for off Premises Catering Company

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Maître D to lead front-of-house operations for weddings and large-scale events. The role is central to delivering seamless, memorable experiences- from elegant ceremonies to high volume receptions. You will act as the primary point of contact during events, ensuring flawless execution, exceptional service, and clear communication between clients, staff and vendors. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression Serve as the lead front-of-house supervisor for weddings and large events (100-300+) Act as the main liaison for clients, planners and vendors on event days Oversee event set up, service flow and breakdown to ensure timelines are met Supervise, train and motivate banquet staff to deliver exceptional hospitality Conduct pre-event briefings and assign staff roles and reponsibilities when needed Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with tact and positive communication skills Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues promptly and professionally Ensure compliance with venue standards, safety regulations and service protocols Maintain a calm, solutions-oriented presence in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Proven experience as a Maitre D', Banquet Captain, or similar leadership role in hospitality Strong background in weddings and high-volume event service preferred Exceptional communication, leadership and problem-solving skills Professional demeanor with a polished appearance and customer-first mindset Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure Flexible availability, including evenings weekends and holidays Knowledge of banquet service styles (plated, buffet, cocktail, etc)

Pay:

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
