Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate male caregiver to support a 16-year-old boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role involves providing personalized assistance during afternoon hours, ensuring the child's safety, comfort, and developmental progress. The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and committed to fostering a positive environment that promotes growth and independence. You will work closely with family members and healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to the child's unique needs, utilizing behavioral therapy techniques and medical documentation skills to support his well-being. Duties Assist the child with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, and feeding Implement behavioral management strategies based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to encourage positive behaviors Support the child's participation in educational and recreational activities, fostering social skills and independence Collect and document data related to behavior patterns, progress, and responses for ongoing assessment Maintain accurate medical records, care plans, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to adapt interventions and ensure consistency in care approaches Provide patient care with patience and understanding, ensuring a safe environment during all interactions Qualifications Prior experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies Familiarity with assisting individuals with ADLs and implementing care plans effectively Strong data collection skills for tracking progress and behavior trends Understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation procedures, and HIPAA compliance Ability to communicate clearly and work patiently with children who have special needs Certification or training in special education or behavioral health is preferred but not required Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate support that empowers a young individual to thrive.
