This leadership role will provide enabling support for Global Operations and Corporate Functions and is a critical member of the Performance Excellence Operations leadership team. This position will be virtual remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States. Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.What You'll Get To Do:
Provide management and skills development for a team of highly skilled and senior Mission Assurance engineers who focus on Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Correction Actions. Leverage Lean-Agile principles and industry best practices to drive development and execution of continuous improvement activities across functions represented within Global Operations including Corporate functions across the enterprise. Provide leadership and oversight to Preventative & Corrective Action Boards (PCAB). Oversee management of performance measures and Centralized improvement backlog dashboards to ensure appropriate metrics are visible and actionable for understanding trends and areas of focus that drive business value and speed. Lead end-to-end improvement projects using Lean, SixSigma, and Agile methodologies. Conduct value stream mapping, root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone), and process performance audits. Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and training sessions to upskill staff in continuous improvement tools. Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations to design or configure automation solutions (RPA, workflow engines). Serves as the organization's subject matter expert on Continuous Improvement and provides training and development activities for cross-functional team members Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of related experience OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of related experience At least 3 years of leadership experience Experience with technical and project management Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt to drive continuous improvement Lean-Agile certifications Experience with statistical and process capability analysis Proficient in industry standard methodologies and tools for Continuous Improvement (5S, kanban, value stream mapping, DMAIC, 8D, Shainin Red X) Experience in design and manufacturing, or technology environment Experience managing multiple concurrent projects Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with internal and external customers Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to coach, develop and mentor others Experience in change management through creating, sustaining and improving standards and proceduresPreferred Qualifications:
Master Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt Experience in evaluating process architectures for large organizations Demonstrated success leading cross functional teams to achieve a common goal Leader in a team environment with exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsPrimary Level Salary Range:
$121,000.00 - $181,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
