Manufacturing Engineer Pay Range:
$96,000-$103,000 •This position is in office, not hybrid, not remote•What You'll Do The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for leading more advanced process improvement initiatives, troubleshooting complex issues, and enhancing manufacturing systems. This role involves optimizing production processes, implementing innovative solutions, and supporting new product introductions while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This position reports into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency, cost reduction, and product quality. Lead complex process optimization projects using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations. Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting production performance. Manage new product introduction processes, ensuring manufacturability, process validation, and smooth integration into production. Conduct root cause analysis for production problems and implements corrective and preventive actions. Support equipment installation, qualification, and validation efforts, including troubleshooting and process optimization. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve process performance. Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, increasing productivity, and enhancing product quality. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all manufacturing processes. Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technical staff. Contribute to machine safety risk assessments and compliance documentation. Update and maintain ERP data for routing, standard times, and process flows. Participate in process trials and pilot builds for new products. Perform various other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering required, mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred Strong experience in manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma). Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with experience in root cause analysis. Ability to lead process optimization projects and implement technical solutions. Proficiency in technical documentation, CAD software, and process flow diagrams. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret production data and drive improvements. Commitment to competence, integrity, and delivering results through continuous improvement.
