Job Description

About the Role As a Manufacturing Floor Supervisor, you will lead production teams to ensure operational excellence, safety, and adherence to rigorous quality standards. You will drive efficiency by optimizing workflows, mentoring staff, and ensuring that every product meets precise technical specifications. Responsibilities Direct daily production activities to ensure output goals are met while maintaining strict compliance with safety protocols. Manage team performance through effective coaching, scheduling, and conflict resolution to foster a high-productivity environment. Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles to reduce waste, organize workspaces, and improve overall process flow. Analyze production schedules and bills of materials to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks before they impact the floor. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance departments to troubleshoot equipment issues and refine standard operating procedures. Oversee administrative tasks including timecard management, training documentation, and performance appraisals. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proven experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings. Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and database management. Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Preferred Skills Completion of a formal Team Leader Academy or relevant college coursework. Technical certifications such as welding or painting credentials. Prior experience utilizing ERP or MRP systems for production planning. Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
