Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex production issues, and develop solutions that enhance overall productivity.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement manufacturing processes through direct, hands-on involvement in welding, motor assembly and rigging operations. Work independently to solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process issues. Evaluate current operational processes, develop and implement optimization experiments and integrate successful results into updated designs and plans. Conduct thorough assessments of manufacturing equipment and deliver documented support for recommendations to improve productivity. Provide training and maintain effective communication with production associates. Create and maintain process documentation and associated drawings. Create Bill of Materials and determine labor hours required for fabrication and assembly. Conduct and lead pilot process implementation. Provide guidance, leadership, and support for both scaling new processes and technology. Provide direct oversight with operations team on process change implementation.Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Prior experience in marine, boating, or maritime industry preferred. Strong understanding and hands-on practical experience in small engines. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or industrial engineering in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, experimental environment. Proficiency with CAD, process simulation, and data analysis tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Experience with pilot plant operations, prototyping, process creation, R&D manufacturing environments Familiarity with ERP systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing.Benefits:
