Tacoma, WA About Jewelry DR Jewelry DR is a family-owned fine jewelry store specializing in custom jewelry, expert repairs, bridal jewelry, vintage pieces, and luxury customer service. We take pride in exceptional craftsmanship and treating every piece of jewelry as if it were our own. We're looking for an experienced Bench Jeweler/Metalsmith who is passionate about quality craftsmanship and takes pride in creating work that lasts a lifetime. Responsibilities Ring sizing (gold, platinum, and silver) Stone setting and tightening Chain and clasp repairs Prong rebuilding and retipping Laser welding and torch soldering Polishing and refinishing jewelry to like-new condition Rhodium plating and jewelry finishing Custom fabrication and modifications Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy Work closely with our sales team on customer repairs and custom projects Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench Qualifications 5+ years of professional bench jeweler or metalsmith experience Advanced knowledge of gold, platinum, and silver fabrication Experience with stone setting, repair work, and finishing Strong soldering and laser welding skills preferred Ability to fabricate custom jewelry from concept to completion High attention to detail with a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects Professional attitude with excellent communication skills Preferred Experience CAD/CAM experience is a plus Diamond and colored gemstone setting Custom bridal jewelry Hand fabrication Wax carving or casting knowledge Experience working in a high-volume repair environment What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $25-$32 per hour Employee discounts Paid vacation and paid holidays Opportunities to work on custom, one-of-a-kind pieces Modern equipment and professional bench environment Long-term career growth with a respected local jewelry store How to Apply Please submit your resume along with photos of your bench work, repairs, custom pieces, or portfolio.
