Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Shop Assistant to join our growing cabinet shop. In this role, you will support the production of custom cabinets, furniture, and woodwork by assisting with various shop tasks, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about carpentry, woodworking, and construction to develop their skills in a hands-on setting. On the job training will be provided to help you succeed and grow within our company. Duties Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing cabinet components. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation Operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently to produce precise parts for cabinetry projects Support the installation of cabinets, doors, trim, panels, fixtures, and other woodwork on residential and commercial construction sites Prepare materials for finishing Maintain a clean and organized shop environment by properly storing tools and materials Assist with heavy lifting tasks and ensure adherence to power tool safety protocols during all operations Support the assembly of custom cabinetry or furniture pieces according to detailed specifications Skills Basic carpentry skills (read a tape measure, follow plans, make accurate cuts, etc. Experience working on construction sites with residential carpentry preferred. Knowledge of woodworking machines used in manufacturing or cabinetry shops preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely Understanding of power tool safety and proper handling techniques Join our team if you're eager to learn the cabinetry trade. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
