Commercial Millwork / Cabinetry / Solid Surface About the Position We are looking for an experienced Commercial Millwork / Cabinet & Countertop Installer to join our team. This position is responsible for the professional installation of commercial cabinetry, millwork, countertops, and related components on job sites. Our projects are primarily commercial healthcare, education, and institutional projects, with a strong focus on plastic laminate, melamine, and solid surface countertops. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently, can read construction drawings, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Install commercial cabinets, casework, millwork, and countertops Install plastic laminate and solid surface countertops Scribe, fit, level, shim, and securely fasten cabinets and millwork Perform field modifications and adjustments when necessary Install sinks, backsplashes, fillers, panels, and related components Make clean and accurate cuts using appropriate hand and power tools Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural plans, elevations, and details Verify field conditions and dimensions before installation Maintain a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail Protect finished surfaces and completed work during installation Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and other trades Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Complete installations according to project schedules and quality standards Safely load, transport, and handle cabinets, countertops, and millwork Required Qualifications Previous experience installing commercial cabinets, millwork, or countertops Experience working with plastic laminate and/or solid surface Ability to read and understand shop drawings and construction plans Proficient with common installation tools Ability to accurately measure and layout work Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable transportation and ability to travel to commercial job sites Ability to work safely and professionally around customers, contractors, and other trades Ability to lift and maneuver cabinets, countertops, and other millwork components Preferred Qualifications Experience with solid surface fabrication and installation Experience installing commercial casework in healthcare or educational facilities Experience with laminate casework Experience with scribing and field fitting Experience installing sinks and countertops Experience coordinating installations with general contractors Knowledge of AWI or commercial millwork standards 3+ years of commercial millwork installation experience What We're Looking For We want someone who: Takes pride in their craftsmanship Shows up on time and is dependable Can work independently without constant supervision Pays attention to the small details that make an installation look professional Understands that quality, schedule, and communication all matter Can identify problems in the field and communicate them before they become bigger problems Treats customers, coworkers, and other trades professionally Is willing to learn and grow with the company What We Offer Full-time, year-round employment Consistent commercial projects Opportunity for advancement Work with a professional millwork team Opportunities to develop additional fabrication and installation skills Competitive pay based on experience and skill level If you are an experienced commercial millwork installer who takes pride in doing quality work and wants to be part of a growing company, we want to hear from you.
