II RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabricate custom furniture and cabinets for high-end construction projects May supervise the work of other fabricators Reads drawings and suggests changes that could improve quality, speed, or safety to Managers and Foremen before and during jobs Able to plan the order of operations for projects Submits Daily Updates to Managers and the Foreman when working on job sites Able to give managers accurate time estimates for accomplishing project milestones Able to operate all shop fabrication equipment at a high level Able to operate all site tools and equipment at a high level Works directly from drawings to install cabinets and millwork Familiar with all commonly used hardware (slides, hinges, screws, nails, etc) Works quickly and neatly Has good communication skills, dealing with stress and conflict in a positive manner Understands and enforces safe working practices in the shop and on-site Any other tasks that the Managers or Foremen may assign
Job Requirements:
7+ years of high-end cabinet and millwork fabrication Operates all shop and site equipment and tools at a high level Familiar with all commonly used hardware (slides, hinges, fasteners,. etc.) Able to sit or stand for long periods while on the job Able to communicate in a professional manner Uses a personal phone for email, text, calls, and navigation during work hours Able to lift 50 lbs safely Employees are encouraged to purchase their own tools with the company providing consumables, maintenance, and replacement of items broken on the job (up to the manager's discretion). Certain tools will be provided as needed, and for those not able to acquire their own tools, the necessary items will be loaned to them. Must have a valid license and auto insurance if using a personal or company vehicle during work hours. During working hours, personal vehicle mileage and travel time to and from job sites are compensated by the company but not at the beginning and end of the day, it is the employee's responsibility to get to and from their home and the job site. Responsibilities
  • Build and assemble cabinets according to specifications and blueprints
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials for cabinet construction
  • Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides
  • Ensure cabinets are properly aligned, level, and secure
  • Caulk and seal cabinets to ensure a finished appearance
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
  • Previous experience in cabinet making or a related field is required
  • Knowledge of metal stud framing, masonry, electrical, and plaster is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
