Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing custom cabinets and woodwork for commercial projects. Your expertise in woodworking, blueprint interpretation, and construction techniques will ensure high-quality craftsmanship that meets client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative design solutions while honing your carpentry skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately build cabinetry and wood fixtures. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking to cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet components with precision. Measure spaces accurately to ensure proper fitment of cabinets, doors, trim, and other woodwork elements. Install finished cabinetry, fixtures, doors, siding, moldings, and related wood products on-site following safety protocols. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for framing, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, and restoration projects. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to power tool safety standards. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects according to construction plans. Skills Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, including the use of woodworking machines and hand tools. Experience reading blueprints, construction plans, and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in construction estimating and understanding of construction site processes. Skilled in carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, siding, flooring installation, and metal stud framing. Familiarity with construction site safety practices related to power tools and heavy lifting. Ability to work effectively on construction sites with diverse teams while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
