Overview We are seeking a skilled Fireplace Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and remodeling, with a focus on masonry and installation of various types of fireplaces. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and is capable of working effectively on construction sites. As a Fireplace Installer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of homes through the installation of high-quality fireplace systems. Responsibilities Install various types of fireplaces, including gas, wood, and electric models, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences for fireplace design and functionality. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to accurately install fireplaces according to specifications. Perform masonry work as needed, including building fireboxes and chimneys. Conduct necessary remodeling tasks related to fireplace installation, such as drywall work and concrete finishing. Work alongside other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to ensure seamless integration of the fireplace into the existing structure. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process to ensure client satisfaction. Skills Proficiency in masonry techniques and materials used in fireplace construction. Experience in construction site operations with a strong understanding of safety protocols. Familiarity with remodeling practices related to residential installations. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings effectively. Skills in drywall installation and finishing for seamless integration around fireplaces. Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques for base installations or support structures. Basic welding skills are a plus for certain fireplace installations requiring metalwork. Proficient in using Bluebeam or similar software for project documentation and collaboration.
