Supervise team of field installers, as well as, install doors & hardware using impact & cordless drills, skill saws, grinders, belt sanders, routers, jig saws, but not limited to other power tools. Supervise approximately 5-6 Installers. Essential Functions Attends job site weekly meetings Supervise installers each day on the job site Tool box topics Daily reports on job sites Use tools properly to insure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware Prep doors to receive hardware Undercut doors with skill saw to fit opening Report any damaged products to supervisor Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges to ensure conformance with specifications Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout and assembly Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently Experience using power tools, saws, drills etc. Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills Ability to read and interpret a tape measure Ability to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a job Physical Demands This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required. Work Environment This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
