Senior Template Technician

Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Digital Template Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accurate on-site digital measurements and creating precise templates for the fabrication and installation of stone, quartz, porcelain, tile, and other solid surface products. This position requires excellent technical skills, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities Travel to residential and commercial job sites to perform digital field measurements. Create accurate digital templates using laser measuring systems and templating software. Verify site conditions, including cabinet installation, wall conditions, appliance locations, plumbing, and structural requirements before fabrication. Communicate with homeowners, contractors, builders, designers, and project managers regarding project specifications and installation requirements. Prepare and review shop drawings and fabrication files for production. Identify and resolve measurement discrepancies before fabrication begins. Coordinate with the fabrication and installation teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Maintain organized project documentation, measurements, and digital files. Ensure all templates comply with company quality standards and customer expectations. Follow all company safety policies while working in the field. Qualifications Experience in digital templating, countertop measuring, or stone fabrication preferred. Proficiency with digital templating equipment (Proliner, LT-2D3D Laser Templator, Laser Products, or similar systems). Experience using AutoCAD, Slabsmith, Moraware, or other CAD/design software is a plus. Strong understanding of granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, tile, and solid surface fabrication. Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction plans. Excellent mathematical and measuring skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
