Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Wood Working Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the fabrication and assembly of wood components for various construction projects, ensuring precision and safety at every step. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in woodworking, carpentry, and construction while contributing to high-quality building solutions. Responsibilities Construct and assemble cabinetry, wood structures, and composite components for custom signage and display systems. Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials including plywood, MDF, laminates, and dimensional lumber. Operate woodworking equipment, including table saws, miter saws, routers, drills, nail guns, sanders, and other power tools. Build cabinets, frames, crates, supports, and structural backing as required for projects. Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project specifications. Maintain accurate measurements to minimize material waste. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with fabrication, paint, welding, and finishing departments to meet production deadlines. Skills 1-3+ years of cabinetry, woodworking, or fabrication experience preferred. Experience in cabinet construction and assembly required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately. Proficiency using woodworking hand and power tools. Strong understanding of measurements and shop math. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Dependable with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical Requirements Prolonged standing and working in a production environment. Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to work in environments with exposure to dust, noise, and industrial equipment. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.34 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
