In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality wooden form dies, and cutting intricate plastic snake fillers for various architectural metal products and aerospace extrusions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about woodworking, construction, and custom fabrication to showcase their craftsmanship and technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately produce wood form dies. Operate hand tools and power tools specifically designed for woodworking, including saws, drills, sanders. Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood parts with precision to ensure proper fit and function. Build and maintain form dies used in manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet specifications for size and durability. Construct plastic snakes by shaping, assembling, and finishing plastic materials using specialized tools and techniques. Follow safety protocols related to power tool operation, material handling, and workspace organization to prevent accidents. Collaborate with team members on projects Assist with heavy lifting of materials and finished products while maintaining proper safety procedures. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently for optimal workflow. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and fabrication processes. Experience with woodworking machines such as saws, planers, routers Solid background in carpentry Familiarity with construction site safety practices including power tool safety standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to ergonomic guidelines. Knowledge of wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, plastics, and related supplies used in form die building or plastic model fabrication.
