Job Description

Job description Finishing Touch Custom Woodworks is looking for an experienced, dependable Cabinet Finisher to join our team. We build high end custom cabinetry, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in producing a quality finished product. Responsibilities Prepare cabinet doors, drawer fronts, panels, moldings, and other wood components for finishing Sand, fill, prep, and inspect surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional finish Apply stains, paints, primers, sealers, and clear coats using spray equipment Match colors, sheens, and finishes according to customer and project specifications Perform touch ups, repairs, and finish corrections when needed Inspect finished pieces for defects, imperfections, color consistency, and overall quality Maintain a clean and organized finishing area Properly clean and maintain spray guns, equipment, and finishing tools Follow proper safety procedures when working with finishing materials and equipment Work closely with cabinet builders and shop personnel to keep projects moving efficiently Meet production schedules while maintaining the quality standards expected of custom cabinetry Qualifications Previous experience in cabinet finishing, woodworking, furniture finishing, automotive finishing, or a related field preferred Experience with spray finishing equipment strongly preferred Knowledge of sanding, staining, painting, sealing, and clear coating Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Ability to identify imperfections and correct them before the product leaves the shop Ability to read and follow project specifications Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team Willingness to learn and adapt to different finishing techniques and products What We Are Looking For We want someone who cares about the finished product . This is custom cabinetry, not mass production. The person in this position needs to understand that the little things matter and be willing to take the extra time necessary to produce a finish that looks professional. Someone with experience who can walk into the shop, evaluate a piece, know how it needs to be prepped, and produce a quality finish with minimal supervision would be an ideal fit.
