Job Description

POSITION
Looking for cabinetmaker for full-time employment at custom millwork shop. We are a general contracting company established in 1978 performing high end custom remodeling and new home construction. The millwork shop is a vital part of our organization. Primary responsibilities include fabrication, assembly, and finishing cabinetry. Excellent opportunity to work at an established family-owned business on unique projects and develop fine craftsmanship skills.
CORE REQUIREMENTS
(please read carefully):
  • Minimum of 3 years of actual, hands-on cabinetmaking experience.
No candidates without this experience will be considered.
THIS IS NOT A CNC SHOP.
Experience with CNC machining is not applicable.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Ability to cut materials from cut sheet.
  • Ability to assemble boxes and cabinets, set drawer slides and hardware, and build and hang cabinet doors.
  • Ability to work with materials such as solid wood, natural & engineered veneers, and laminates.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to reliably start work between 6:30
  • 7:00 a.m. at Gurnee office.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
  • Experience in working on administrative matters a plus.
  • Final finishing experience not required but a plus.
