Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Carpentry Lead Man to oversee and execute a variety of construction and woodworking projects. This dynamic role requires a hands-on leader who excels in interpreting technical drawings, managing construction plans, and guiding team members through complex carpentry tasks. As a key player on our team, you will ensure that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead projects in residential and restoration industries, utilizing your expertise in carpentry, framing, remodeling, and finishing work. Pay starts at $25/hourly but pay increases are based on experience and can be up to $35/hourly. Must have own ride to job site or can correlate a ride to the boss to ride to job site. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate carpentry crews on construction sites, ensuring safety protocols and project timelines are met effectively Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Perform framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, siding, flooring installation, and other residential carpentry tasks. Supervise rework or restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, water damage repair, and general building refurbishment. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as power tool safety and proper handling of construction site hazards. Mentor junior team members; promote a culture of craftsmanship and safety awareness across all projects. Qualifications Proven experience in construction with a focus on residential carpentry or restoration industries. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, CNC machinery (if applicable), and woodworking machines. Experience with framing (metal stud or wood), drywall installation, fixture installation (doors, cabinets), siding, flooring, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete forming. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and managing project timelines effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks such as rebar installation or mold remediation. Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and general remodeling procedures is preferred. Strong communication skills; capable of supervising teams while collaborating with project managers and clients.
