Job Summary We are a custom cabinetry and quality millwork company serving primarily Cape Cod and the Islands and Southeastern Massachusetts. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, cabinetry, and fabrication, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves constructing of custom cabinets and related woodwork for primarily high-end residential projects. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with project managers and other trades to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely completion of projects. Duties Construct custom cabinets, furniture, and millwork according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood components with precision. Carefully read and precisely interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical instructions. Perform finishing tasks including sanding, staining, sealing, caulking, and touch-up work. Collaborate with project teams to ensure proper fitment and alignment of cabinetry components. Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards. Assist with other carpentry or construction tasks as needed within the restoration or remodeling industry. Requirements Proven experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or related construction fields. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and fabrication techniques. Ability to operate all stationary machinery such as shapers, sliding table saw, planers, jointer, wide belt sander, tiger stop - measuring stop, pocket hole machine, band saw, drill press and a line boring machine. Experience with construction estimating, framing (including metal stud framing), drywall installation (including plastering), roofing, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, rebar installation, concrete forming, stucco application, siding installation (including vinyl or fiber cement), door hanging, fixture installation (such as lighting or hardware), remodeling projects, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and heavy lifting is highly desirable. Ability to move cabinets around the shop and to the loading dock safely and efficiently. Knowledge of the restoration industry standards is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail is crucial. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various construction environments. Pay:
